“Her relationship to her body is very interesting because she’s a musician but she also is a professional dancer – she started her career as a dancer she’s always thinking about how she can expand her body and her art and use it in interesting ways and you know, the album that she put out this year that the song is from, EUSEXUA, was really her making her version of a dance album. Inspired by her experiences just dancing in clubs and I hear a completely different side to her in this song. I hear someone who is experiencing dancing in their body with such freedom and physicality and that lyric “It feels nice,” twigs is always thinking and I love her in that mode, but this is her really feeling the music that she makes and feeling the effects of experiencing that music with other people you know, not as an artist but as someone on the dance floor who is creating the experience with other people in that setting.
